Acceptance & Commitment Training (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) is a treatment intervention that combines behaviourism, positive psychology and mindfulness. It has proven to successfully treat anxiety, depression, stress, chronic pain, eating disorders, PTSD and addictions.
The aim of ACT’s is to promote psychological flexibility; the ability to behave in a way that is consistent with one’s values regarding who and how you want to be, even in the presence of aversive experiences (difficult thoughts, feelings, physical pain).
ACT helps to improving relationships with others, less self-criticism, increased clarity, awareness, confidence and purpose.
